Burpee – Exercise Your Entire Body
With This One Move

The burpee exercise is probably the simplest, most effective conditioning exercise in existence. It works the upper and lower body through an explosive range of motion. The only missing element is a pulling move for the upper body, which you can incorporate by adding a pullup as you jump into the air.

You don’t need any equipment to do burpees, all you need is the desire to get busy!


Start

Start with your feet around shoulder width apart.

Get Down!

Place your hands on the ground at around shoulder width distance.

Drop

Drop into the lower part of a pushup, without letting your body completely fall to the ground.

Keep good tension in your upper and lower body.

Spring Up

Simultaneously push up and bring your feet forward, landing in a squat position.

Jump Up!

Explosively jump into the air.

Land, and Repeat

Land, and immediately begin another rep of burpees, dropping into pushup position as described above.

That’s it!Pretty simple, but do a few and you will be huffing and puffing! That’s all there is to doing burpees.
