Adjustable DIY Suspension Trainer
Mount
Now that you have made yourself a DIY suspension trainer, do you want to do different exercises requiring the handles at different heights? Make an adjustable mount for your DIY suspension trainer, using rope and some handy knots.
Follow the directions below to make a suspension trainer mount that can adjust the handles from ankle height to shoulder height in just seconds.
First, take the remaining rope from your DIY suspension trainer and tie a double bowline (click for detailed instructions) at one end.

Next, throw the loop over the overhead object.

Take the loose end through the double bowline’s loop.

Tie a half-hitch by passing the free end of the rope out of the bowline’s loop and around itself as shown.

Tie another half hitch to secure the loop.

Now, throw your DIY suspension trainer handles through the loop. Adjust the height of the handles by changing the size of the loop by untying and retying the half-hitches.Now you can go from ankle level handles for exercises like knee tucks, elevated pushups, and planks…

…To shoulder level or higher handles for dips, pullups, etc.
